Slim’s Healthy Kitchen was proud to support the recent Battle Cancer Dublin event on 21st March, providing nutritious meals to staff and volunteers throughout the day.
Battle Cancer, a global fitness fundraising movement, brought together athletes, gyms and communities in Dublin to raise vital funds for cancer charities, with a strong focus on teamwork, resilience and community impact.
As part of its ongoing partnership, Slim’s Healthy Kitchen ensured those working behind the scenes were properly fuelled ,helping staff and volunteers maintain energy, focus and performance across the fast-paced event.
Founder Gary McIldowney said supporting the event continues a long-standing relationship with Battle Cancer.
“We’ve supported Battle Cancer since their very first event in the BLK BOX in Belfast back in August 2021, so it’s something that means a lot to us,” he said.
“These events rely heavily on the incredible effort of staff and volunteers working long hours in a high-pressure environment. Making sure they’re properly fuelled is essential not just for performance, but for safety and keeping everything running smoothly.”
He added: “It’s a brilliant event to be part of, and we’re proud to continue supporting such an important cause you’ll maybe see us on the workout floor soon.”
Battle Cancer continues to grow internationally, with the Dublin event bringing together a large community of participants in support of cancer charities.
Slim’s Healthy Kitchen will continue its support at the next Battle Cancer Belfast event, taking place at the Eikon Exhibition Centre on 27th June 2026.
